Service was excellent, food was phenomenal. Edwin can come home and cook for me any day. What I really loved about the food was that it was well seasoned and the coffee was good and warm

Line long, moved slowly on a Sunday morning. Employee told me she wasn't making any coffee or teas at the moment but I noticed others after me were made. No waffles either so pretty bummed. Food was worth the wait when it came out. Probably the best breakfast we had while here and visiting year after year. Husband had hot sausage omelet. I had cheese biscuit and breakfast potatoes which were very good. Good vibe and music.

A low key cafe that I would recommend to anyone looking for a late breakfast/brunch in the NOLA area. The ambiance gave me laid back diner vibes with a mardi-gras-esque flare. Service was fine, the lady that took my order was a little rough around the edges but what really matters was the food.. I got the egg + cheese sandwich on croissant with pepper jack cheese and ham and a side of breakfast potatoes. I would come back here to try their lunch menu.

Great little diner hidden by big buildings and hotels. Walk up to the counter to order, take your number and find your seat. Watching the juicer make orange juice is pure entertainment and always juicing. Service is steady- no rush and no hurry and everything works out fine, so bring your patience. Appears to be a scratch kitchen but don't hold me to that if I'm wrong. Everyone is friendly. The prices are on point with the portions and if you leave and you're not full, then that's on you!

Hands down THE best breakfast spot I've been to in the city. Every single thing that we've ordered was absolutely AMAZING!!! Food came out on a timely basis, normal ambiance. Was greeted immediately. Definitely a hole in the wall spot. Officially my number one spot.

While visiting New Orleans we were staying at a hotel just around the corner from the Bread and Butter Cafe. After a very early morning flight and dropping off bags at the hotel, we were in need of a place to grab breakfast. We found B&B on Yelp and headed over. The restaurant looks very small from the outside, but actually has a decent amount of room inside. After a brief wait in line we ordered a few breakfast sandwiches and took a seat. This was everything we were looking for, quick, pleasant service, and good food. The breakfast sandwiches and potatoes were very good, and the fresh squeezed orange juice was fantastic. While a couple blocks from the real busy portions of the French Quarter, if you are looking for a good quick breakfast, stop by the Bread and Butter Cafe!

What a gem in the Central Business District. We came to this establishment for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The reviews were good and the prices were reasonable. We knew we had struck gold when we entered the establishment and saw a bunch of locals in their dining. Upon entering you go to the counter to place your order and then you find seating if it's available. this location only probably has about 10 tables but they also have bar seating. We were able to find a table with no issue it was not overcrowded at Sunday about 11 AM in the morning. Our food came out within 15 minutes and we also were able to enjoy freshly squeezed orange juice. The oj was so fresh and squeezed right in front of you so you saw every orange that went into providing you a delicious vitamin c cocktail. For food I got the pasta with chicken. I was so pleasantly surprised by the amount of chicken breast that I got in my pasta I had more chicken than I probably had pasta and it was absolutely fantastic. My husband got the all meat omelette with a side of breakfast potatoes and he thoroughly enjoyed his omelet and had some to take back to the hotel room. We also sampled their gumbo and it was very good, I would say it was a little bit on the salty side but it evened out with the rice. Nobody could say that that baby lacked any flavor because it was very tasty. I wish that we had found this restaurant earlier in our trip as we would have probably been there every day. Additionally they had really reasonably priced breakfast sandwiches so if you want to get something before going to the airport or just don't want to sit down they had breakfast sandwiches for less than the price of a McDonald's breakfast meal.
